Welcome to In The Fade, an RPG shrine database. Yes, there are already a considerable number of sites like this out there, but this is a little different. This site doesn't just list Final Fantasy sites or gaming sites in general -- In The Fade lists shrines dedicated to characters from any RPG, so long as the shrine is of a high quality.
The original owner of In The Fade is me, Alexandra, but the directory has spent most of its online hosted on Emma's former domain, dragoon.nu. It's all long and complicated, but you can read a little more about it in the info section, if you're curious.
Please take a look around at the various shrines, and be sure to submit your own site. If you do, you can pick up some pretty buttons to link back and spread the word. To the left you will find links to the various categories, and the site navigation is above this block of text. Clicking the title will bring you back to this page. This site should work in screen resolutions of 800x600 and above. The layout looks best with all the newest versions of common browsers, but should be working fine in older ones too.
Those of you who have been visiting In the Fade for some years now might notice that things around here have changed a bit. That's because I finally was able to convert the directory into a database -- there's no longer a need to list sites on hiatus or dead links, because they're all stored in a 'pending' database, and they will be added back once the sites are active again. This is great, because I can keep these links on file for a much longer period of time, since they won't be wasting any visible space! Also, there is no need to indicate new sites, since you can always view the most recently added sites by looking at the directory statistics.
